Young Scholars for Collaborative Academe
in International Perspective.
A Journal for Junior Scholarship in the Arts and Sciences
"Like the historic Pompeii was preserved after the Vesuvius erupted, the journal Pompeii represents the meeting of the wisdom of academe with the new energies of the next generation of scholars (i.e. like tourists who visit the archeological site). It is hard to articulate, but that is how I think of the task we face."
- Jonathan Anuik, member of the Pompeii Editorial Board
"Pompeii is a gesture. A gesture of preservation, renewal, and celebration of the powers of the mind."
- Alexander Stingl, Pompeii Editor
Pompeii is not accepting new paper submissions for 2012. We are currently reorganizing the architecture of the forum. We will return to accepting submissions and new members for the boards in early 2013. All previous publications remain available for public access on this site.
Pompeii is a peer-reviewed journal for junior scholars.
This journal is published in the form of open access streams.
Student Paper Excellence
We encourage contributions in English. However, we accept contributions in German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch.
We are always looking for more peer-reviewers.
